Usain Bolt donates his Puma training shoes to Books4Kids Jamaica online charity auction.

MONTEGO BAY, JAMAICA, MARCH 20, 2013: The Palmyra Foundation announced today that legendary Jamaican sports icon and Olympic legend Usain Bolt has donated his very own signed, well-worn training PUMAs to the 2013 “Books4Kids Jamaica” Online Charity Auction! The sports icon signed his shoes in Kingston, Jamaica on March 19th, 2013 and made the donation to help raise money for books for 10,000 Kindergarten children next school year. Bids on Usain Bolt’s worn and signed PUMA training shoes can be made from anywhere in the world. With more than 150 fantastic items on the virtual auction block, the chance to pick up a great deal in the name of charity is yours until 10:45 pm Jamaican time (11:45 pm EST) pm on Saturday March 23th, 2013.

National Jamaican TV station CVM is set to do a LIVE national broadcast from the charity’s “Live Auction Party” at Blue Beat Ultra Lounge in Montego Bay Jamaica on Saturday, March 23 featuring celebrity guest American actor Anthony Anderson, the last 45 minutes of the international Online Charity Auction of more than 150 items, a Live Auction of select items by professional luxury auctioneer Geoffrey Fullerton and a telethon donation line. Other party highlights include a televised performance by the fantastic No-Maddz Bongo Band.

The 2013 “Books4Kids Jamaica” program aims to raise money to buy books, pencils and crayons for 10,000 Kindergarten children in September 2013. Please help to raise money by participating in the Online Charity Auction, attending the “Live Bidding Party” or by making cash donations online.
